MONDAY BLUES

Who says Mondays should always suck? Be a rebel and start enjoying them😊

For my favourite #MentalMonday❤️🧠reader. It’s been a minute because well even for a therapist or a space and pain holder life can also get hectic. I wonder how you have been coping with Monday blues without your usual #MentalMonday❤️🧠read. All I know is that writing to this community has become a part of me. Whilst this post didn’t make it to be delivered on a Monday, hopefully this has been deliberate to ensure you had your last blue Monday yesterday and never again‼️And speaking of Monday blues, we never delve much into how they drain us sometimes and ultimately drain our mental wellbeing. Mondays often arrive like a sudden gust of wind, disrupting the tranquil rhythm of the weekend and ushering in what is commonly known as the “Monday blues.” This ephemeral yet poignant phenomenon can cast a shadow over our mental landscape, coloring our thoughts with hues of melancholy and apprehension.

As the sun rises on Monday morning, its golden rays illuminate a path fraught with responsibilities and expectations, a path that beckons us back to the bustling world of work and obligations. The transition from the restful sanctuary of the weekend to the demanding realm of the workweek can be a jarring one, stirring within us a symphony of emotions that echo through the chambers of our hearts. The feeling stings even more when the workplace carries with it a heavy song of toxicity.

The Monday blues, like a delicate blossom swaying in the breeze, can signify more than just a temporary feeling of unease. It can be a whisper from the soul, a gentle reminder to pay heed to our mental well-being amidst the whirlwind of daily life. Just as a garden requires tender care and nurturing, so too do our minds crave attention and solace in the face of the Monday blues.

In the garden of our minds, it is crucial to tend to the roots of our emotions, to water the seeds of self-compassion and resilience. When the Monday blues cast their shadow, it is a call to cultivate practices of self-care and mindfulness, to bask in the gentle embrace of activities that nourish our spirits and soothe our souls.

Amidst the cacophony of the workweek, it is essential to carve out moments of stillness, to listen to the whispers of our hearts and honor the depths of our emotions. Engaging in rituals of self-care, whether it be a stroll in nature, a cup of fragrant tea, or a moment of quiet reflection, can serve as a balm for the weary soul and a beacon of light in the midst of the Monday blues.

Let us embrace the Monday blues not as a burden to bear, but as a melody to be danced to, a reminder of the delicate balance between the demands of the external world and the needs of our inner selves. By tending to the garden of our minds with care and compassion, we can navigate the errs and flow of the Monday blues with grace and resilience, emerging stronger and more attuned to the symphony of our own hearts. Lend an ear to a co-worker or a stranger that you meet on the way and begin to ramble on about their life. Smile as widely as you can. You never know how much that goes as far as healing the next soul. Hug and give solace to the next person, sometimes we are hurt through touch and find our healing in touch. Sit and have a cup of…… whatever tickles your taste buds with the other. It may be the only companionship they have had in a while. And always remember to make the other person seen, see their soul as well. There is always something we can do for the other just by making use of our five senses😊

So as we await all the Mondays that are yet to come, let us use all the mental health knowledge we have, the self -care tips we have gathered on this platform, and all the while extending a little kindness to the people around us Because#Mentalhealthmatters❤️🧠
